Becoming a Member Organisation

Why Become a Member Organisation:

The Living Wage Movement is not an organisation in its own right; rather, it is an alliance of faith, union, and community groups united to take action on low pay in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Being a member organisation means you are able to shape the direction of our movement, access our leading-edge community organising training, and be part of our strategy to influence decision-makers across public and private employers to pay the Living Wage.

Note: This is different from being a Living Wage Employer.

If your organisation would like to join our broad based alliance of faith, union and community groups and have a tangible say in the direction of the Living Wage Movement.

Members of your organisation will be eligible to stand for roles on our national governance committee, and your staff or members will have full access to our leading-edge community organising training.

Across the country, members from your organisations will be able to attend their local  Member Organisations Council(s) – the local action group – and be part of the strategic decision-making, helping to set the direction of national and local campaigns.

Importantly, you are part of resourcing a fully community-powered movement that organises and empowers working people to transform their lives.
