How to become a Member Organisation

Becoming a Member Organisation

Signing up as a member organisation helps us build our power as a broad based alliance of organizations allowing us  so we can continue to win the Living Wage for more workers, and also strengthens our organizations ability to affect change. All organizations agree with this statement upon joining:

"A Living Wage is the income necessary to provide workers and their families with the basic necessities of life. A Living Wage will enable workers to live with dignity and to participate as active citizens in society. We call upon the Government, employers, and society as a whole to strive for a living wage for all households as a necessary and important step in the reduction of poverty in New Zealand."

Living Wage Movement Aotearoa NZ in their statement of commitment

If your organisation would like to join our broad based alliance of faith, union and community groups and have a tangible say in the direction of the Living Wage Movement.

Members of your organisation will be eligible to stand for roles on our national governance committee, and your staff or members will have full access to our leading-edge community organising training.

Across the country, members from your organisations will be able to attend their local  Member Organisations Council(s) – the local action group – and be part of the strategic decision-making, helping to set the direction of national and local campaigns.

Importantly, you are part of resourcing a fully community-powered movement that organises and empowers working people to transform their lives.
