Campaigns

With the consensus of civil society organisations in each location, we run local and national campaigns with workers, and civil society organisations to win the Living Wage. Our focus is not only to win, but also to build leaders and strengthen our organisations so we are ready for the next struggle down the line.

Living Wage cities

Living Wage cities

Living Wage Cities focuses on running table talks across our faith, union and community organisations in Wellington, as well as in key local areas, to build solidarity around the concept of the Living Wage. Through the sharing of stories, we aim to shape a shared vision and develop a practical plan to make Wellington Aotearoa’s first Living Wage City — the best place to work in New Zealand and the most organised city in Aotearoa

Living Wage Schools

Living Wage Schools

This campaign aims to win the Living Wage for nearly 15,000 low-paid workers by uniting school communities around a call for central government to pay the Living Wage.

Local Government

Local Government

Local government employs many low-paid workers, and chapters of our movement across the country are focused on shifting these entities to become accredited Living Wage employers, using all levers at their disposal to ensure more workers are paid a Living Wage.

Living Wage for Resene

Living Wage for Resene

Living Wage for Resene is a campaign led by the Greater Wellington Living Wage Alliance, focused on shifting Resene Paints — one of the Hutt Valley’s largest employers — to pay its manufacturing staff at the Hutt and Lower Hutt factories the Living Wage.
